Meet Our Founder:
Driven by purpose and rooted in community, Clement Sekatane is the visionary behind Lowveld Academy of Sports & Entertainment—a dynamic nonprofit organization championing rural development through the transformative power of sports, arts, and culture. Born and raised in the heart of Mpumalanga, he witnessed first hand the challenges faced by rural communities and made it a lifelong mission to spark change where it’s needed most.
With a deep belief in the untapped potential of young people, Clement Sekatane has created programs that use soccer fields as classrooms, theater stages as platforms for empowerment, and cultural festivals as bridges that unite. Under his leadership, the organization has reached dozens—nurturing talent, preserving heritage, and building stronger, more resilient communities.

ZAKHELE SEKATANE

A passionate force for rural transformation, Zakhele Sekatane serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Lowveld Academy of Sports and Entertainment. Hailing from Mpumalanga, Zakhele has dedicated his career to creating spaces where young people from underserved communities can dream, grow, and thrive.
With a unique blend of strategic leadership and grassroots insight, Zakhele steers the Academy’s mission to unlock potential through sports, arts, and culture. He believes that a soccer ball, a stage, or a paintbrush can become powerful tools for change—especially in rural areas where access and opportunity are scarce.
Under his guidance, the Academy has launched impactful initiatives that not only nurture athletic and artistic talent but also build confidence, discipline, and community pride. Whether it's organizing rural soccer leagues, supporting emerging performers, or preserving local traditions, Zakhele leads with heart, purpose, and unwavering commitment.
